Job description
Role overview
This is an enterprise digital design systems leadership position focused on managing the setup, tailoring and rollout of core design and information management platforms. The role sits within a large, complex digital environment and supports major work across New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia and other regions.
You will act as the key specialist for Beca’s organisation-wide digital delivery systems, helping project teams work more effectively, strengthening collaboration, and making sure the tools and platforms remain practical, efficient and suitable for purpose.
The position also involves guiding digital delivery and information management practices across the business, working with delivery teams to promote good use of the systems and helping users get full value from the platforms available to them.
What you will do
You will partner with ICT, digital teams, software engineers, vendors and other stakeholders to provide both technical and administrative support. A major part of the job is to continually improve system configuration, automation and operational efficiency while staying aligned with current delivery methods and ISO 19650.
The role includes supporting remote and virtualised deployments and ensuring that design and information management tools are integrated smoothly into project and business workflows.
You will also help shape the future of digital delivery ways of working, building on existing strengths so the systems remain ready for growing technological complexity, digital disruption, remote collaboration and AI-enabled work.
About you
This opportunity is suited to someone who can add real value through deep experience with digital delivery systems in engineering or similar environments. You may have worked with project or organisational platforms such as Autodesk, Bentley, Esri or 12d.
You should be comfortable in enterprise-scale settings where priorities can be varied and sometimes ambiguous, and you should be confident being the main go-to person for system support and improvement.
Success in this role requires a strong grasp of digital design and information management tools, including how to configure, deploy, integrate and support them effectively. You should be equally at ease speaking with users and handling technical detail, and be able to turn system capability into practical outcomes for projects.
Innovation is important in this role, and you should be motivated by contributing to high-quality projects that support Beca’s goal of making everyday better.
