Role details
Location: London / Hybrid
Contract type: Contract
Pay: £168 per day, Inside IR35, Umbrella

Digital and website management
You will keep the organisation’s websites accurate, current, and consistent, working with Drupal CMS to manage and refresh content. The role also involves rebuilding pages, checking digital quality, and using analytics and user feedback to spot improvements. You will help ensure the websites meet GDPR, accessibility, and wider digital standards, while also supporting technical website-related projects.
Communications support
The position includes drafting, checking, and sending both internal and external communications. You will help plan digital content, monitor audience engagement, and produce performance reports. Supporting the development and circulation of key organisational messages will also be part of the role.
Events support
You will assist with the administration and logistics for virtual and in-person events. This includes event communications, stakeholder engagement, planning, delivery, and reviewing outcomes after events have taken place.
Stakeholder collaboration
The role requires you to build productive relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders, work across teams, and help keep messaging aligned. You will also make sure communications activity follows organisational policies and accepted best practice.
Additional information
This opportunity is with a leading organisation in the education and research sector and is intended to provide support during a period of website development and broader team cover.
Requirements
Applicants should have prior experience in a communications, marketing, digital, or web content role, along with hands-on exposure to website content management systems, preferably Drupal across versions 7 to 10. Experience helping to organise or deliver events in either a professional or voluntary setting is also needed.
You should be able to support communications effectively in digital environments, interpret website analytics and user feedback, and apply improvements where needed. A strong understanding of GDPR, accessibility, and digital compliance is essential, together with excellent writing and speaking skills, strong organisation, the ability to juggle several priorities, and confidence using different digital tools and platforms.

The advertised rate is £168 per day and the engagement is classed as Inside IR35 on an umbrella basis. The role is for 36.5 hours per week.
