Job description
Role overview
Heartland takes a different approach, working in small, empowered pods made up of cross-functional specialists who focus on solving genuine customer problems. In this Digital Business Analyst role, you will help shape ideas into strong digital outcomes that deliver real value.
What the role involves
You will own your own workstream within a delivery pod, guiding it from early discovery through to release. Working alongside your Delivery/Digital Manager, developers, and quality teams, you will turn business needs into workable, testable solutions and help carry them through to production.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional pod to deliver high-quality solutions that address stakeholder needs.
- Support the Delivery/Digital Manager in keeping a steady flow of problems ready for the team to solve.
- Build a strong understanding of how customer-facing teams operate and where digital support can help them most.
- Work comfortably across both business and technical contexts.
- Gather and document requirements, then create test cases to support delivery.
- Suggest solutions that can scale and be reused where possible.
What success looks like
You should be an outcome-driven communicator who adapts easily, performs well in a fast-moving environment, and enjoys building strong working relationships. A curious, analytical mindset and fresh thinking will help you do well in this role.
Experience and capabilities
- Solid experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or digital delivery.
- A demonstrated ability to spot issues and turn them into practical solutions.
- Experience working in agile or other collaborative delivery environments.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to keep communication concise and adjust it for different audiences.
- Comfort acting as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Ability to produce clear, well-structured documentation.
