Job Overview
This role demands a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $211,000 to $231,000, complemented by an immediate company 401(k) contribution of $53,000 to $58,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Create Infrastructure as Code and automate processes using scripting and tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform to streamline task execution and service provisioning.
- Maintain system security and compliance by patching and hardening Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Install, configure, and optimize performance of technologies including Kubernetes, Docker Compose, Apache NiFi, and native cloud monitoring tools for logging and metrics.
- Manage and automate Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD to facilitate code build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Administer commercial cloud platforms with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Collaborate effectively within teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders to support cohesive DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience combined with education.
- At least 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years if holding a related Master's degree.
Preferred Skills (Candidates should have at least two)
- Designing, implementing, and managing AWS infrastructure services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform and auto-scaling techniques.
- Understanding AWS network architecture including virtual private clouds (VPCs), network address translation (NAT), and internet gateways.
- Developing and handling GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment activities.
- Working closely with development teams to improve application performance and reliability.
- Diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues to maintain uptime.
- Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems, particularly Amazon EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
