Role overview
Subaru of Hamilton, part of the AutoCanada dealership network, is hiring a full-time Detailer in Hamilton, Ontario. This is an immediate-hire position focused on preparing vehicles to a high presentation standard for customer delivery while helping keep the detailing department organized and efficient.

What you will do
- Manage the daily workflow of the detailing area and help coordinate task allocation.
- Carry out interior and exterior detailing to dealership and delivery standards.
- Guide and assist detailers to keep output consistent, efficient, and high quality.
- Inspect finished vehicles and verify they are ready before handover to customers.
- Track detailing supplies, keeping stock levels orderly and well maintained.
- Handle routine detailing tasks such as vacuuming, deodorizing, washing, and polishing.
- Make sure vehicle exteriors are clean, free of marks, and ready to present.
- Care for interiors, including dashboards, consoles, floor mats, and upholstery.
- Apply paint sealant when needed and polish wheels and rims as required.
- Use hand tools, cleaning equipment, and power washers safely and effectively.
- Spot and escalate any vehicle issues that may need repair or additional attention.
- Complete checklists and related paperwork accurately and within required timelines.
- Support other duties connected to smooth daily dealership operations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in vehicle detailing or another similar hands-on automotive role.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a clean driving history.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on quality.
- Comfort working with cleaning agents, hand tools, and power equipment.
- Ability to stay organized and handle shifting priorities in a busy setting.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting as needed.
- Dependable, cooperative, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
