Role overview
Tesco Ireland is hiring a Deputy Manager for the Clare/Limerick area. This senior store position works alongside the Store Manager and helps keep the store running smoothly each day. The role sits close to the action of the business and reports directly to the Store Manager.
What you will do
- Oversee everyday store activity and support the team through coaching and hands-on management so customers receive excellent service, products remain available, and the store leaves a strong impression.
- Take full responsibility for the store whenever the Store Manager is away.
- Act as the main point of contact for colleagues’ day-to-day questions when their line manager is unavailable.
- Drive clear communication across the store and encourage open, two-way dialogue.
- Understand the store’s Big 6 priorities and guide the team toward achieving the required targets.
- Coach colleagues and manage priorities so the right people are in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand.
- Review reports and systems and use the findings to improve outcomes for both customers and colleagues.
- Set the standard for others by demonstrating Tesco values in day-to-day behaviour.
- Lead replenishment activity to improve availability, merchandising and shelf-edge presentation.
- Help create a welcoming and motivating environment for customers and colleagues.
