Job description

Role overview

This is a practical depot coordination position based in Bundaberg, where you will help keep everyday site operations running smoothly, support casual labour arrangements, and assist warehouse activity. The role also offers a defined opportunity to progress into a Foreman position.

The working pattern is 37.5 hours each week, with overtime commonly available during busier periods. In quieter times, the focus shifts toward improving site processes and supporting operational efficiency.

Key duties

  • Take charge of day-to-day depot activities and provide hands-on support across the warehouse.
  • Plan, guide, and coordinate casual workers during both peak and slower trading periods.
  • Use a forklift safely and effectively to handle loading, unloading, and movement of stock around the site.
  • Assist with receiving and despatch tasks, including delivery paperwork, pallet movement, and keeping inventory records accurate.
  • Carry out stock counts, help with monthly stocktake processes, and ensure all documentation is maintained correctly.
  • Help maintain a strong safety culture by logging hazards, near misses, and incidents, while following site procedures and PPE requirements.

What you need to bring

  • Some initial experience coordinating people on site and supporting operational workflows.
  • Forklift operating experience and confidence handling loading, unloading, and stock transfer work.
  • A solid grasp of workplace safety, good housekeeping, and safe work methods.
  • Strong organisation skills and a careful eye for detail when managing stock, paperwork, and daily priorities.
  • A dependable, practical, and proactive attitude, with the flexibility to adapt when operations change.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a focus on accountability and ongoing improvement.

Why join this team

  • Be part of sustainability efforts that contribute to a meaningful outcome.
  • Work in a supportive environment built on safety, respect, and collaboration.
  • Access opportunities for additional training and career development within the business.
