Department Manager

Role overview

The Department Manager supports the store’s commercial performance by making sure customers receive excellent service, team members are properly guided, and sales targets are actively pursued. The role works closely with the Store Manager to run the outlet efficiently and in line with company standards, and takes full charge of the store when the Store Manager is unavailable.

What you will do

• Lead the retail team to deliver a consistently high standard of customer service and help them perform effectively on the sales floor.
• Support the Store Manager in running the store smoothly, profitably, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Take complete responsibility for the store’s operations whenever the Store Manager is away.
• Encourage participation in the company’s loyalty scheme to strengthen repeat business and customer retention.
• Share observations and feedback with the Store Manager and Area Manager about team performance and product-related matters.

Detailed responsibilities

• Maintain a polished appearance, stay current on product knowledge, and help reduce stock loss through attentive store management.
• Keep up with new products, market trends, and fashion direction so customer needs can be met quickly and accurately.
• Ensure the sales team has the capability and support needed to deliver excellent service and achieve stronger sales results.
• Help implement store operating processes in line with company guidelines and standards.
• Make sure every staff member follows the brand’s policies and operational procedures at all times.
• Review store administration regularly and handle any issues promptly.
• Manage staff rosters, leave requests, and employee grievances on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards consistently across the store according to VM requirements.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to drive repeat purchases.
• Provide ongoing feedback to the Store Manager and/or Area Manager regarding employees and merchandise.
• Stay alert to store security at all times and ensure no negligence in safeguarding the premises.
• Keep informed about the group’s different brands in order to support suggestive selling.
• Handle the store end-to-end when the Store Manager is not present.
• Be physically capable of standing for long periods and performing heavy lifting when required.

Additional information

This position is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and requires on-site presence.
