What You’ll Do

You will oversee day-to-day department performance across customer experience, sales, operations, team development, and visual execution. The role involves setting goals, monitoring results, coaching colleagues, and ensuring the department runs efficiently and in line with brand standards.

  • Own the full OMNI customer experience in your store, including visual and commercial presentation aligned with global guidelines.
  • Represent the H&M brand positively in every customer interaction.
  • Identify department strengths and commercial opportunities, then take action to improve performance.
  • Set and review sales and budget targets, and build plans to improve results.
  • Make sure customers receive great service across the store and that the team actively sells and supports product promotion.
  • Track and encourage promotion of the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives.
  • Run the department in a cost-conscious manner.
  • Maintain correct fitting room and checkout routines, including transactions, returns, and exchanges.
  • Ensure administrative routines for both people and operations are completed accurately.
  • Stay current on fashion trends, brands, products, competitors, and relevant influencers.
  • Ensure the team provides product and fashion knowledge during customer interactions.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, upskilling, and team development.
  • Carry out performance reviews and succession planning to support business and team needs.
  • Share knowledge with the team and support a culture of feedback, learning, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team on planning and execution.
  • Organize team schedules and planning.
  • Communicate regularly with store colleagues through daily and weekly meetings to inform, motivate, and inspire.
  • Ensure all procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed in the store.
  • Take part in onboarding, training, and other learning opportunities relevant to the role.
  • Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Maintain strong fashion presentation, garment care, and commercial standards.
  • Ensure healthy stock levels and provide allocation input to the Area team.
  • Manage the garment flow from delivery to presentation, including fitting room routines and use of internal tools and technology.
  • Support OMNI services and in-store technology such as the Instore Care App, Click & Collect, and Smart Store tools.
  • Maintain effective pricing displays and signs across the store in line with local and global strategies.
  • Keep back-of-house areas updated with key information, health and safety details, and general tidiness.
  • Handle daily store opening and closing responsibilities.

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you should be a confident leader who enjoys taking responsibility for others and driving results. You should be commercially minded, comfortable working with numbers and statistics, and able to solve problems in a practical and analytical way.
