Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is shared through a hiring partner, which handles applications and the rest of the recruitment process on behalf of the employer. The employer is seeking a Demand Planning Manager in the United States.

In this role, you will be a central force behind end-to-end demand visibility and business planning for a rapidly expanding consumer goods business. You will take charge of forecasting across several product lines, turning market trends and commercial input into demand plans that are practical, accurate, and usable by the wider business.

The position is important for bringing Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain onto the same page around one dependable forecast. Your work will affect inventory health, service performance, revenue outcomes, and day-to-day operational efficiency. Because the business operates in a fast-changing environment, you will also keep improving planning methods, systems, and forecast quality over time. The role combines strong analysis, cross-functional leadership, and solid commercial judgment, and it suits someone who enjoys ownership and working in dynamic settings.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage the complete demand forecasting workflow, including statistical and consensus-based rolling forecasts across products, customer groups, and sales channels.
  • Run the S&OP demand review process and make sure Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain are aligned.
  • Review forecast accuracy, bias, and demand fluctuations, then convert those findings into ongoing improvements.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to build promotional activity, distribution changes, and other demand-shaping plans into forecasts.
  • Create, update, and improve demand planning models, dashboards, KPI tracking, and reporting tools that guide decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance so demand plans connect with revenue forecasts, margin goals, and long-range planning.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain so demand signals shape inventory, production, and capacity planning.
  • Spot risks and opportunities in demand and provide data-backed recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain planning, preferably in CPG, food and beverage, or consumer goods.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a similar field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of S&OP, forecasting methods, and demand planning best practices.
  • Practical experience with enterprise planning platforms such as o9, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, or comparable systems.
  • Advanced Excel capability, with exposure to BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau seen as an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative ability, with the skill to turn complex data into clear actions.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership.

Benefits and employment details

The compensation range is USD 100,000 to USD 125,000 per year, with bonus eligibility and potential equity participation. The role also includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, paid time off, holidays, and standard leave benefits. The position is remote, with occasional travel for meetings and team offsites. The organization describes its environment as supportive, collaborative, mission-driven, and focused on growth and innovation.

Application and hiring process

The hiring partner uses an AI-supported matching process to screen applications against the role’s core requirements in a quick and fair way. The best-matching candidates are shortlisted and then forwarded to the employer, whose internal team manages interviews, assessments, final decisions, and next steps. The partner also notes that applicant data may be processed to evaluate candidacy and share relevant information with the hiring employer, with rights such as access, correction, deletion, and objection available under applicable privacy laws. AI tools may assist with reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, and checking for inconsistencies, but human review remains part of the process and final hiring decisions are made by people.
