Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Rider position in Panaji, Goa. The rider will be accountable for collecting and delivering parcels, documents, and packages safely and within the assigned route and timeline. The job requires route planning, careful handling of shipments, updating delivery status through a mobile device, and providing professional service to customers.
Key duties
- Collect parcels, documents, and packages and deliver them to customers as per assigned schedules.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet timing targets and complete deliveries on time.
- Load and unload shipments safely while handling items of different sizes and weights.
- Confirm delivery details, collect payment or proof of delivery where needed, and record updates accurately.
- Use a smartphone or delivery app for navigation, live tracking, and status updates.
- Follow traffic rules, road safety practices, and operational procedures at all times.
- Keep the assigned vehicle in good working condition and report any issue, delay, or breakdown promptly.
- Coordinate with hub and operations teams to support smooth and accurate delivery execution.
- Maintain a courteous, professional approach while interacting with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Strong awareness of roads and safe riding or driving ability, with a valid license.
- Good knowledge of local routes in and around Panaji.
- Comfortable using smartphones and delivery applications for navigation and updates.
- Clear communication and customer interaction skills.
- Ability to lift, move, load, and unload parcels safely.
- Basic reading and writing ability in English and/or local languages.
- Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail, with the discipline to work independently and follow SOPs.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and busy seasonal periods.
- Prior exposure to courier, delivery, or logistics work is helpful but not essential.

The role is based in Panaji and requires onsite attendance. Shift-based working may include weekends and peak-season hours depending on operational needs.
