Job description

Overview

Domino’s is expanding and is hiring delivery experts for its McKenzie, Tennessee location. The company emphasizes a people-first culture, quick hiring, and flexible shifts so team members can choose short or longer schedules that fit their availability.

Drivers typically earn more than $20 per hour when wages, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Mileage reimbursement and tips are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday.

Job summary

This role focuses on safe and efficient pizza delivery, customer service, and supporting store operations as needed. Team members may use their own vehicle or, if eligible, a company-provided vehicle for deliveries. The position requires strong driving habits, reliable time management, and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Delivery staff can set a schedule that suits their needs, with both part-time and full-time hours available. Immediate hiring is available.

Delivery arrangement and pay details

Delivery experts may choose between using a personal car with adjustable mileage reimbursement for fuel and vehicle wear, or using a company vehicle. To use the company vehicle, the driver must be at least 21 years old, have at least 2 years of driving history, and maintain a clean driving record. Safe driving is essential in all cases.

The role uses technology intended to improve delivery speed while supporting safe service. Faster and more efficient delivery can increase earnings.

Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, pass a background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and have a safe driving record that is subject to motor vehicle report review. A dependable vehicle and valid insurance are required. Candidates should be able to navigate using maps and directions, locate addresses within the delivery zone, and handle difficult terrain, including multi-story buildings and stairways.

The job also calls for the ability to follow instructions, repeat tasks consistently, work alone or with others, stay effective under pressure, maintain quality standards, provide strong customer service, and make sound decisions using analyzed information.

Work conditions

The role involves exposure to changing and sometimes harsh weather while making deliveries or handing out flyers and door hangers. Store and work-area temperatures can vary widely, ranging from 36 degrees in coolers to 90 degrees or more in other areas.

Employees may also be exposed to food-related fumes and cornmeal dust, compact spaces such as walk-in coolers, hot equipment and oven surfaces reaching 500 degrees or higher, and sharp edges or moving machine parts.

Physical demands

Daily duties include walking between the store and the car, carrying food and drinks, climbing stairs, driving within the delivery zone, bending at the waist, reaching in multiple directions, and handling pizza tools, boxes, and ingredients. Deliveries may involve climbing 5 or more flights of stairs.

Repetitive bending, crouching, reaching above shoulder height, and forceful hand use are part of the work. The role also requires the ability to talk and hear over the phone, distinguish hot from cold surfaces, and use near, mid-range, far, and night vision for both store tasks and driving.

Growth and culture

Domino’s highlights internal growth opportunities, including future paths into Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and other leadership roles. The company also describes a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and helping all team members reach their potential.

Employment terms and franchise notice

This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise store. Employment decisions such as hiring, discipline, compensation, benefits, staffing, and scheduling are handled by the franchise owner, not by the corporate entity. Applications submitted for this role are not reviewed by corporate, and corporate does not control whether a candidate is interviewed or hired. If selected, the franchisee will be the only employer.

Additional information

Domino’s states that it values honesty, transparency, accountability, and a safe, stable work environment. The brand also notes that many franchise owners began their careers as delivery drivers or pizza makers.
