Job description
Job overview
Domino’s is expanding and is seeking delivery team members for its Jackson, TN location. The role is built for people who can move quickly, drive safely, and provide a dependable customer experience. The company emphasizes flexibility, with short or long shifts available and both part-time and full-time scheduling options.
Immediate hiring is available. Drivers commonly earn more than $20 per hour when base pay, tips, and mileage reimbursement are combined. Tips and mileage reimbursement are paid daily, while hourly wages are paid every other Friday.
Pay and vehicle options
Delivery team members may either use their own vehicle and receive mileage reimbursement to help cover fuel and other vehicle costs, or use a company-provided vehicle for deliveries. To use a company vehicle, applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and have at least 2 years of driving history. Safe driving is essential in all cases.
The role uses technology designed to help complete deliveries more efficiently and safely, which can support higher earning potential through faster routes and more deliveries per shift.
Scheduling and growth
Schedules are self-selected to a degree, allowing team members to choose shifts that fit their needs. The employer highlights opportunities to move into leadership roles such as Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, General Manager, and beyond. The company also notes that many franchise owners began their careers as delivery drivers or pizza makers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pizzas and related items within the assigned service area while following safe driving practices.
- Use maps, directions, and navigational skills to locate addresses accurately.
- Handle several deliveries during a shift and maintain timely service.
- Carry food and beverages between the store, vehicle, and customer locations, including stairs and multi-level buildings when needed.
- Follow operational instructions, quality standards, and customer service expectations.
- Work independently and collaboratively as needed while performing repeated tasks under pressure.
- Support a clean, organized, and efficient delivery process.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving history, subject to motor vehicle record review.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance if using a personal car for deliveries.
- Must be able to read and follow maps and locate addresses in the assigned delivery zone.
- Must be able to navigate difficult terrain and multi-story buildings while delivering orders.
- Must be able to work alone and with others, manage stress, and make sound decisions.
- Must be capable of repeating physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work conditions
The position may involve exposure to changing weather conditions during deliveries or flyer distribution, abrupt temperature differences, food odors and cornmeal dust, confined areas such as walk-in coolers, hot equipment and oven surfaces, and sharp or moving mechanical parts.
Physical demands
The job includes walking, carrying, climbing, driving, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, and frequent use of the hands and arms. Delivery work may require climbing five or more flights of stairs. In-store tasks can involve repetitive bending, reaching above shoulder level, lifting, using pizza tools, handling boxes, and maintaining visual and hearing awareness while driving and working inside the store.
Company values and equal opportunity
The workplace emphasizes honesty, transparency, accountability, stability, and respect for people. The team culture is described as one that values individual differences and aims to help employees reach their full potential.
Employment terms
This position is with an independently owned and operated franchise store. Employment decisions, including hiring, scheduling, pay, discipline, supervision, and benefits, are handled by the franchise operator rather than the corporate brand. Any application submitted for this role is reviewed by the independent franchise owner, who will be the direct employer if hired.
Additional information
The employer says it puts people first and works to maintain a safe, stable environment for team members. It also reinforces the idea of opportunity for growth within the brand and franchise system.
