Delivery Agent On Call

Role Overview

NZ Post is seeking an on-call Delivery Agent to support mail and parcel delivery operations in Christchurch, Canterbury. In this role, you will represent the company in the community, help keep deliveries moving, and contribute to connecting people, businesses, and communities across New Zealand.

What the Role Involves

You will begin by processing and sorting mail, then head out on your delivery run using either an eBike or by walking, regardless of weather conditions. This position is on call and may be used to cover staff absences, leave, or busy delivery periods. The flexible nature of the work can suit someone looking for a better work-life balance.

Working Arrangements

This is an on-call position, required as and when needed, with shifts available Monday to Saturday starting from 7:00am.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is physically prepared for active work, has strong attention to detail for sorting address information, and takes responsibility for the safety of themselves and their team. A customer-focused approach and a commitment to doing the job well every time are essential.

Additional Conditions

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand. Any offer of employment will depend on passing a drug test and security screening. Pay

The role pays $27.86 per hour from 1 July.
