Overview
Trust Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Dealership Payroll Clerk to support a multi-dealership environment. This role is suited to someone who wants to build a career in payroll or accounting and contribute to a customer-focused team committed to long-term growth. The position reports to the Payroll Manager and involves a mix of payroll, accounting, and administrative support.
What you'll do
- Help process employee payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Enter and review payroll information such as hours worked, pay changes, commissions, and deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll files and related records.
- Assist with payroll audits and confirmation of payroll data.
- Keep payroll and personal employee information confidential.
- Organize payroll and accounting paperwork and filing.
- Provide general administrative support to the payroll center as needed.
- Follow company policies, internal procedures, and payroll compliance standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- Prior clerical, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Experience in a dealership setting is a strong advantage.
- You should be highly detail-oriented and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a busy setting.
- Strong follow-through and organized work habits are expected.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, is needed.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills are important.
- You should work well in a team, stay flexible, and keep customer service a priority.
- Bilingual ability is preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment checks, including background screening, MVR review, and verification of a valid California driver's license.
- The role expects neat work habits and maintaining an orderly workspace.

Compensation and work setting
The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. This is a full-time role based at the Costa Mesa dealership, and remote work is not available.
