Role overview

We are seeking an analytical and inquisitive Data Insights Analyst to support data-led decision-making for a growing team. This entry/junior-level position is designed for someone who wants to build a career in data analytics, business intelligence, and insight-driven problem solving.

In this remote role for candidates based in Australia, you will turn raw business data into clear, useful insights. You’ll work with teams across the business to spot trends, prepare reports, and highlight opportunities for improvement and strategic action.

Key responsibilities

• Gather data from several business sources, then clean, organize, and analyze it.
• Look for trends, recurring patterns, and meaningful findings that can inform business choices.
• Build and update dashboards, reports, and visual presentations of data.
• Track business performance indicators and share practical recommendations.
• Prepare both scheduled and one-off analytical reports for internal stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and business goals.
• Help verify data quality, improve accuracy, and support validation processes.
• Explain insights and conclusions in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way.
• Record analysis methods, workflows, and reporting steps for future use.
• Keep up with developments in analytics tools, industry practices, and market trends.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.

Applicants should bring strong analytical judgment, critical thinking, and solid attention to detail. A working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and common data analysis methods is expected.

Experience with visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is helpful. Familiarity with databases, reporting frameworks, and business metrics will be an advantage.

Good written and spoken communication skills are important, along with the ability to solve problems independently while also contributing well in a remote team setting.

Prior internship exposure, academic projects, or other relevant analytics experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
