Job description

About the team

The Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWRR) organization at Amazon works to reduce returns-related cost, waste, and defects while improving value for customers, the business, and the environment. The group brings together business, product, operations, data, and software engineering functions to manage the full lifecycle of returned and damaged items. Its culture is fast-moving and inclusive, with a focus on long-term value creation and practical innovation.

Within WWRR, teams collaborate across functions to help customers find good-value used, rental, and open-box items, maximize the value of Amazon products, improve the returns experience, and make reverse logistics more efficient. The role sits in a high-impact environment where analysis directly influences business decisions and outcomes.

  • Analyze customer behavior and suggest hypotheses for policy changes.
  • Tackle analytical questions and communicate both the process and results clearly.
  • Develop analysis for product launches and offer launch recommendations.
  • Summarize findings, create dashboards and visualizations, and surface trends, anomalies, and key patterns.
  • Partner with business, engineering, and other internal teams to align on priorities and deliver outcomes in the chosen area of focus.

Qualifications and preferred background

  • At least 3 years of experience as a maintenance planner or scheduler in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • At least 3 years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or 2+ years of full-time Amazon RME (BB/3P) experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule or shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology is preferred.
  • Experience with MS Access and SQL is preferred.
