Role overview
Accord Technologies Inc is seeking a Data Analyst to support its Investment Banking reporting function in New York City. This position is focused on data migration, reconciliation, reporting, and ongoing process enhancement within a fast-moving financial services environment.
The assignment is a W2 contract role based in New York, NY. The work arrangement requires presence onsite from day one, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office.
What you will do
- Contribute to projects that move reporting data from older platforms to newer analytics and reporting systems.
- Check, reconcile, and validate data so it remains accurate, complete, and consistent across systems.
- Review complex datasets and turn them into useful insights that support reporting needs.
- Create and support BI dashboards, reports, and analytical outputs using Power BI, Cognos, or comparable tools.
- Build and fine-tune SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their reporting expectations and deliver practical data solutions.
- Look for ways to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong data quality standards and help investigate and resolve issues.
- Share updates, risks, and key findings clearly with both business and technology teams.
What we are looking for
- Solid skills in analyzing and interpreting data.
- Practical experience with BI reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or similar platforms.
- Background in data migration and reconciliation work.
- Strong SQL knowledge along with data validation methods.
- Exposure to automation efforts and process improvement initiatives.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- A self-driven, detail-focused approach with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong problem-solving ability with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience in Investment Banking or broader Financial Services.
- Understanding of reporting controls, governance, and regulated-data environments.
- Familiarity with migration projects that move reporting or analytics capabilities from legacy systems to modern platforms.
Work arrangement
This role is for onsite work in New York City with a hybrid pattern of 3 days from the office. The position type is W2 contract.
