About The Team
The Regional Logistics Business Intelligence Data Analysts at Shopee are integral to driving key business decisions across Regional Marketplace and Fulfilment Operations. They go beyond simple performance monitoring and reporting by conducting in-depth, data-driven analysis and research. We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for complex problem-solving and developing data-backed solutions to foster significant business improvements. This role offers exposure to various Shopee functions as you contribute to pivotal initiatives aimed at enhancing user experience. You will collaborate with teams in Regional Marketplace, Fulfilment Operations, Data Science/Engineering, and Product. Comprehensive guidance, training, and support will be provided to foster professional growth and skill development.
Job Description
The intern will be responsible for the following:
- Leveraging extensive datasets to construct data visualizations and dashboards that support strategic planning and informed business decisions.
- Interpreting functional and technical requirements to develop reports that provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Supporting the team in building and maintaining data infrastructure, including data pipelines, aggregated datasets, reports, and dashboards, to facilitate the development of critical metrics for operational efficiency, impact, and outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders from cross-functional and product teams across multiple markets to build, test, and implement new processes and systems.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, with a preference for quantitative fields such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python is mandatory.
- Prior experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive SQL, Spark), ETL tools, data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker), and statistical analysis techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, data modeling) is advantageous.
- A proven ability to excel in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
- Preference for full-time interns with a commitment of 3-6 months.
- Students able to commit part-time, a minimum of 3 working days per week, are also encouraged to apply.
