Role overview
Aaratech Inc. is hiring a Cyber Security Analyst for its Purple Team function. The position focuses on blending offensive and defensive security work to uncover weaknesses, assess exposure, and help lift the company’s overall security maturity.
What you will do
- Run vulnerability assessments with tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Review firewall setups, network security controls, and Active Directory environments for gaps.
- Evaluate findings against OWASP Top 10 guidance and other current security practices, then rank issues by risk.
- Write simple Python or PowerShell scripts that support assessment activities and remediation work.
- Compile vulnerability reports that clearly explain the risk and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with IT and engineering teams to follow through on remediation plans and track progress.
Experience and qualification requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related area is required.
- Applicants should bring 2–3 years of experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, Infrastructure, or Penetration Testing.
- Hands-on familiarity with vulnerability management tools and core network security concepts is expected.
- Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and Active Directory security is important.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication ability, and problem-solving skills are needed.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7 is preferred.
- Experience scripting in Python or PowerShell will be an advantage.
- Security certifications such as CEH, CSA, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent vendor certifications are considered a plus.
