Job description
About Customs Support Group
Customs Support Group (CSG) is an independent customs services specialist and a major player in Europe. Established in 1964, the company now operates across 14 European countries, with more than 100 offices and over 1,700 customs experts on its team.
CSG helps businesses move goods across borders efficiently and in line with regulations, reducing the burden of customs compliance. The company supports more than 60,000 clients and handles over 20 million declaration lines each year.
Its services cover everything from routine customs declarations to compliance support, duty optimisation and trade advisory work, with the goal of making cross-border trade more reliable and easier to manage.
The organisation combines deep local customs knowledge with digital tools designed to process high volumes accurately and quickly. In markets such as the UK, this approach has already improved productivity.
As customs requirements become more complex, businesses face greater risk of delays, penalties and unclear procedures. CSG helps customers remain compliant, reduce exposure and keep supply chains moving.
Why Join Us
By joining CSG, you become part of a fast-growing international business that is changing how customs operations are delivered.
- You will work alongside seasoned customs specialists and technology-focused teams.
- You will gain insight into international trade and complex supply chains.
- You will contribute to services that have a meaningful effect on global commerce.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your career in a stable yet changing sector where knowledge, judgement and quality still play an important part.
Purpose of the Role
As a Customs Clearance Coordinator, you will manage the end-to-end handling of import, export and transit customs declarations for customers. The role calls for strong attention to detail, a disciplined approach to working within set procedures, and a willingness to suggest improvements where processes can be strengthened.
You will be part of a new team, giving you scope to grow alongside the team as it develops.
A collaborative mindset is important, along with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Excel experience is helpful, but the key requirement is the ability to learn new systems quickly and build knowledge over time.

- Carry out general administrative duties.
Candidate Profile
Applications are welcome from both experienced customs professionals and candidates looking to move into the field.
- Experienced applicants should have 3 or more years of experience in customs declarations or a closely related position.
- Career changers are also encouraged to apply; no customs background is required if you come from work where accuracy, compliance and speed are essential, such as complex customer service, back-office operations or similar roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- You should be highly organised and capable of juggling multiple tasks.
