Job description
Role overview
Tangent is hiring an entry-level Customer Success Associate to support its commercial growth team in Dublin. The role is focused on helping employers get strong results from the platform while contributing to a mission that helps more jobseekers access opportunities through socially diverse hiring.
About Tangent
Tangent is building a fairer job application process by connecting jobseekers with volunteer mentors who offer help with CVs, applications, interview preparation, industry guidance and salary negotiation. The company believes career opportunities should not depend on existing networks, privilege or access to expensive advice, and it is expanding across cities including London, Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam and New York.
What you will do
In this position, you will work directly with employers using Tangent and support them throughout their journey on the platform. You will act as a key contact, help new customers get set up, maintain relationships with hiring teams and recruiters, and make sure customers understand how to use the product effectively.
- Support employers day to day and help them get the most value from Tangent.
- Guide new customers through onboarding and platform setup.
- Develop trusted relationships with recruiters, people teams and decision-makers.
- Understand hiring priorities and help customers connect with suitable jobseekers.
- Respond to questions, resolve issues and contribute to a better customer experience.
- Encourage customers to remain active, review candidates and post roles.
- Feed customer insights back to product, sales and marketing teams.
- Look for expansion opportunities such as additional roles or broader partnerships.
What Tangent is looking for
The company wants someone who is motivated by its mission, comfortable learning on the job and able to build relationships with customers. Previous sales or customer success experience is not required, and neither is a degree.
Ideal applicants are curious, resilient, organised, empathetic and confident when speaking with customers. Interest in startups, recruitment, technology, customer success or social impact will be an advantage.
Training and development
This is a junior role, so Tangent will provide support to help you grow into the position. You will learn how to onboard customers, run check-ins, understand hiring needs, use CRM and customer success tools, and communicate feedback internally. As the business grows, there will be scope to take on more responsibility.
What success looks like
Early success means quickly understanding Tangent’s mission, getting to know customers and becoming confident in supporting employers. Over time, success includes helping customers launch effectively, deepening relationships, improving engagement and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
Why join Tangent
Tangent offers the chance to make a real social impact, develop commercial skills from the ground up and grow with a mission-led team. The package includes share options, and the company is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
Salary and level
The base salary is €30,000 to €60,000 per year, with commission or a performance bonus on top. This is an entry-level position.
Eligibility
Applications are open to graduates, non-graduates and career changers. Prior customer success experience is not needed, and a degree is not required. Tangent welcomes candidates from all backgrounds, including those with non-traditional career paths.
Equal opportunity
Tangent encourages applications from people of all backgrounds and is committed to fair hiring practices.
