Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative Lead will oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, providing guidance and support to custodial staff. This role involves ensuring all janitorial duties are performed effectively and safely.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Execute janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
- Provide work direction and assistance to custodians under the guidance of the Custodial Supervisor.
- Support the Custodial Supervisor with staff scheduling and training.
- Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment.
- Manage and track equipment inventory, including maintenance and repair records.
- Schedule necessary clean-up and repair tasks.
- Maintain the daily upkeep of the assigned operational area.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Assist the Custodial Supervisor in the procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections.
- Report any incidents or hazardous conditions to the supervisor promptly.
- Escalate employee personnel and customer issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure employees are using personal protective equipment and supplies correctly.
- Address at-risk behaviors immediately and report them to the supervisor.
- Offer recommendations for improvements in areas needing attention.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, individuals must be capable of performing essential duties safely and effectively. The requirements reflect the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- Completion of all required safety and task training certifications is necessary.
- Forklift certification may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructions, procedures, and manuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with cleaning methods and equipment, with a willingness to share knowledge.
- Understanding of cleaning equipment upkeep and care.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, including their safe and efficient application.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Employees may be accommodated to perform essential functions. Frequent sitting, talking, and listening are common. The ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds is required. The work environment is representative of typical job conditions.
Compensation And Shift
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $17.00.
