Job description
The opportunity
Join Hynds and represent the business at the front line, providing excellent service to customers in the civil, water, wastewater, and drainage sectors. This is a practical, varied branch-based role that combines customer interaction, yard support, stock control, quoting, sales assistance, and delivery coordination to help keep daily operations running efficiently.
What the role involves
- Serving customers at the counter and supporting them with day-to-day enquiries.
- Working in the yard and assisting with stock movement and organisation.
- Helping with sales activities, preparing quotes, and coordinating deliveries.
- Using stock management processes to keep branch inventory accurate and under control.
- Contributing to the smooth running of a busy branch environment through hands-on support.
What you will bring
- Previous experience in front-counter customer service and yard-based work.
- A current full driver’s licence.
- A forklift licence; F endorsement is an advantage but not compulsory.
- The ability to connect with customers confidently and resolve issues quickly.
- Good computer skills and a practical approach to stock control.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness for active branch work.
- Industry product knowledge would be beneficial.
