Job description
Job purpose
This role is focused on growing insurance business through an assigned team and an orphan customer database across multiple campaigns. The position also covers end-to-end pre-sales and post-sales assistance for clients, along with team coordination. A key expectation is to not only achieve targets, but to deliver steady quarter-on-quarter business growth.
Key accountabilities
Loyalty and customer retention
- Build and sustain relationships with orphan customers.
- Drive upselling opportunities for customers assigned through different campaigns.
- Ensure renewal collections and preserve the assets under management of the assigned portfolio.
Target achievement and team performance
- Deliver premium and NOP targets to support overall company growth.
- Distribute leads among team members based on defined target plans.
- Track and review performance regularly against topline and health metrics.
- Coach the team on sales steps, lead conversion, and closing deals.
- Drive recognition and reward-related activities initiated by the organisation.
Sales process and operational execution
- Keep sales and related processes running smoothly to maximise business potential.
- Communicate process updates and changes in rules or regulations through training modules.
- Make sure sales and service activities such as sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint resolution happen without delays or interruptions.
Resource deployment and business quality
- Place the right people in the right roles at the right time to improve productivity.
- Understand team strengths and assign responsibilities accordingly.
- Assess business potential for each unit and allocate targets appropriately.
- Use the right acquisition approach to build a profitable business mix for the organisation.
- Review business performance regularly and share relevant updates with senior management.
- Work toward persistency goals so renewals happen on schedule.
- Take corrective action on persistency and health-related issues as needed.
Recruitment and training
- Ensure timely hiring of team members.
- Manage attrition within the set limits.
- Support ongoing on-the-job training to build and upgrade team skills.
