Overview
Handshake is seeking experienced professionals from the energy industry to contribute to AI research through flexible, hourly contract engagements. This role is not a conventional employment position but involves leveraging your practical expertise with utility metering, customer operations, and energy billing systems to assess AI-generated outputs and offer feedback that enhances AI comprehension of utility workflows and customer data management.
This is a project-based opportunity allowing you to participate alongside your current commitments.
Project Details
- Apply your professional background and practical knowledge of commonly used tools to generate expert training data and evaluate the accuracy and applicability of AI responses. No prior AI experience is necessary.
- The work is fully remote with flexible, asynchronous hours, and no mandatory minimum workload; typically, participants contribute approximately 5 to 20 hours per week during active projects.
- Placement in ongoing projects depends on current needs, with the possibility to be considered for future assignments as they arise.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in utility metering, customer operations, or related energy roles such as Meter Data Analyst, Customer Operations Analyst, Billing Analyst, Energy Accountant, or similar positions within the energy sector.
- Practical hands-on experience with tools including Oracle MDM, Oracle CC&B, SAP, or Power BI.
- Strong written communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and asynchronously alongside AI research teams.
