Role overview
As a Customer Experience Specialist in Tesla’s Fort Myers showroom, you will shape the experience for people exploring and receiving Tesla vehicles. You will be the welcoming face customers meet first in the retail space and the final point of contact when they take delivery, helping create a memorable and informative journey from start to finish.
The position is focused on delivering engaging product interactions, guiding guests through the buying and delivery process, and representing Tesla’s mission to advance the transition to sustainable energy. You will help ensure that every showroom visit and delivery experience feels polished, educational, and personal.
Key duties
- Greet walk-in visitors quickly and in a friendly, personal way so they feel comfortable and invited to start a conversation.
- Ask thoughtful questions to learn who the guest is, what interests them about Tesla, and their likely purchase timing, then use that information to build a tailored profile.
- Explain Tesla products clearly, respond to customer questions, and shape a customized experience that may include demo drives and Full Self-Driving demonstrations based on each guest’s interests.
- Lead delivery orientations that walk new owners through major vehicle features and benefits so they leave confident and enthusiastic.
- Help maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting guest details, arranging test drives, and spotting customers with strong buying intent.
- Deliver consistently high-quality service to current owners and prospective customers alike.
- Take on other business-related tasks when needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service and/or sales, with a demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Strong interest in Tesla’s mission, its innovations in personal transportation, and current trends in the EV market, including local incentive programs.
- Ability to understand and communicate both business topics and technical concepts in a clear way.
- Reliable team player with a strong sense of accountability.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail, along with solid written and spoken English skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office tools and CRM systems.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail setting.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- For positions in CA, CO, HI, ID, MD, MS, NV, NC, PA, TN, UT, VA, and DC, a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License from the state DMV is required to perform sales activities.
- For positions in AZ, GA, HI, IA, IN, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, VT, and WA, a notary license is preferred; if notary support is needed for the role, Tesla will help with the licensing process.
