Role overview
Tesla is looking for a Customer Experience Specialist to support customers across the sales, delivery, and registration journey in Sydney, New South Wales. The role is centered on creating a smooth, informed, and memorable handover experience while helping the wider team keep delivery operations running efficiently.
This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, can explain products clearly, and is comfortable coordinating with multiple internal teams to make delivery day successful.
What you will do
- Make each delivery day welcoming and enjoyable for new Tesla owners.
- Explain the core features and functions of the vehicle in a clear, customer-friendly way.
- Support the Store Leader with delivery-related operations to maintain a high standard of service.
- Arrange vehicle staging and manage delivery appointments, including owner orientations adapted to each customer’s comfort and needs.
- Build strong knowledge of Tesla products, services, and EV incentives available locally.
- Keep up with market developments, industry trends, and current best practices.
- Work with the vehicle readiness team to complete final quality checks before handover.
- Share feedback with program leaders and other stakeholders to improve team effectiveness and internal processes.
- Coordinate with Sales, Service, Registration, Remarketing, and other teams to ensure delivery day runs smoothly.
- Handle customer questions and concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a service-first approach.
- Address objections and barriers, including topics related to charging and customer education.
- Ensure delivery completion aligns with accounting revenue-recognition standards.
- Where needed, complete and secure all local paperwork in line with government and revenue-recognition requirements.
- Keep CRM records accurate and current so management has timely delivery information.
- Contribute ideas to improve the delivery experience and streamline back-end workflows.
- Assist with other retail activities when required, such as test drives, events, outbound calls, trade-in intake, and related tasks.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Support the local registration team by verifying, validating, processing, and updating documents and customer details in accordance with the local registration authority.

- A positive, energetic attitude and genuine enthusiasm for the shift toward personal transportation solutions.
- The ability to understand business issues and explain technical ideas in a simple way.
- Dependability and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s licence in the country of application, plus at least 2 years of clean driving history.
- Ability to obtain the relevant state licence if it is required locally.
- Valid work authorization in the country where you are applying.
