About the Role
Chewy, a leading e-commerce pet retailer, is seeking motivated Customer Service Representatives to join its award-winning team. This is a full-time, remote position for residents of Texas. The role offers a starting wage of $16 per hour, with opportunities for skill development and career growth within a remote work environment. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers via phone to address inquiries related to pet shopping, product selection, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Conduct thorough research to identify and implement effective solutions for customer concerns, employing proactive problem-solving and scheduling follow-ups to ensure complete resolution.
- Demonstrate empathy, active listening, perseverance, and understanding in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
- Embrace a culture of continuous learning and development, actively participating in feedback sessions and maintaining an open mind for professional growth.
- Collaborate with team members and management using virtual tools such as Zoom and Slack to foster a customer-centric and cooperative work environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of experience in a customer service role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written, verbal, and listening communication, to be assessed during the application process.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively, such as managing a phone conversation while navigating computer systems and taking notes, and performing well under pressure in a dynamic setting.
- Competence in computer usage, including data entry and efficient internet navigation for customer assistance.
- Adaptability to evolving business needs and company changes.
- Flexibility to adjust work schedules and work overtime as required by the business.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Willingness and ability to successfully pass a background check.
Technical Requirements
- A dedicated, distraction-free workspace with sufficient space for computer monitors and free from disruptive background noise.
- A work area suitable for webcam usage.
- A stable, wired, high-speed internet connection with minimum download speeds of 30 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps. (Internet service is provided by the employee).
- A phone line is not required; however, a cell phone or tablet capable of two-factor authentication via Okta Verify (either through the Okta mobile app or SMS/call capabilities) is necessary.
