Role overview

This position is centered on managing customer relationships and improving sales results for a defined portfolio of customers within a specific region or business cluster. The focus is on bringing in new business, protecting and expanding current accounts, understanding customer requirements, and supporting wider growth targets.

Core responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of sales outcomes for the assigned customer base and portfolio.
  • Manage customers and budget responsibility in line with business priorities.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate commercial solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and accounts.
  • Share updates with customers on market movements, pricing changes, and company policies.
  • Study territories to identify prospects and new business opportunities.
  • Review competitor activity and industry developments to guide growth plans.
  • Keep CRM and related customer records accurate and up to date.
  • Support customer satisfaction and retention across the assigned account portfolio.
  • Manage medium-impact accounts across any cluster size or geographical area.

  • Capability to conduct market research and basic analysis
  • Ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders
  • Comfort with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools

Preferred background

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is preferred. The role is best suited to professionals with 5+ years of experience in sales, customer management, or account handling, ideally with exposure to logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
