Job description
Role overview
An experienced CT Radiographer is required for a permanent, full-time position within the CT team at Bristol Royal Infirmary. This is a fixed role for a qualified practitioner and is not intended as a training opportunity.
Working approach
The post holder will work to defined standards and departmental protocols, following best practice and complying with all professional, legal and workplace requirements.
Key duties
- Carry out a broad selection of CT examination protocols.
- Support more complex CT scans while working under the guidance of senior colleagues.
- Contribute to the Trust’s 24-hour CT provision.
- Where necessary, act as senior of the day and manage departmental workflow efficiently.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Manage personal workload and support the allocation and oversight of junior staff duties.
- Deliver high-quality imaging as part of a 24/7 CT service.
- Help train student radiographers, radiographic assistants, and other radiographers.
- Use CRIS and PACS confidently and with advanced knowledge.
Department and equipment
The department operates across multiple sites and includes a range of scanners, such as 3 Siemens 128 Slice scanners and 2 Canon Aquilion One volumetric scanners.
