Credit Manager - Retail

Role Overview

This position focuses on retail credit and risk operations for ABHFL in Bhopal. The role is responsible for handling assigned transactions within the defined credit framework, supporting portfolio quality, and ensuring that operational processes are completed accurately and on time.

Underwriting and Portfolio Quality Management

• Carry out credit and risk activities for standard cases allocated to you, while following the established policies and operating principles used across the business.
• Take support from senior team members whenever needed and build understanding of technical, location-specific, and property-related factors that affect case evaluation.
• Coordinate with legal, technical, and other third-party verification agencies for reviews, validations, and clarifications in more complex cases.
• Track bounce rates and keep them within the defined threshold.

Process Efficiency

• Complete risk-related operations in a way that supports business outcomes while still meeting risk-control expectations.
• Work closely with Credit Processing Analysts so that case files are properly logged before credit operations begin.
• Follow structured coordination practices with Sales and Operations teams to support decisions and resolve issues in line with business and risk needs, and escalate to the RCM when required.
• Manage external vendors effectively to maintain report quality and turnaround time commitments.
• Monitor costs carefully and keep them within the approved budget.
• Enter data correctly in the LOS system and maintain strong documentation standards.
• Ensure post-disbursal documents are collected within the assigned timeline.
