About the role
SelfMade is looking for a Creative Strategist who can connect performance data, concept development, and client needs. This position begins as part-time or contract work and can grow into a full-time opportunity. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, use the company’s internal systems daily, identify content gaps, develop fresh concepts, create assets, and write copy that helps campaigns convert.

SelfMade is an AI-driven performance creative agency with more than 300 million assets delivered for brands such as Samsonite, The Sill, RXBAR, Belgian Boys, Keeps, OpenStore, and Nutrisense. The agency works across fashion, beauty, wellness, food and beverage, and lifestyle. Its core philosophy is that performance creative is a measurable system, not a guessing game.
The team uses proprietary tools to guide what to create next. These include a gap-analysis system that compares a brand’s output against its category and competitors, a dashboard that tracks every ad by persona, angle, emotion, and format with trend data over time, and a social listening engine that scans Reddit, Amazon, reviews, and other web sources to identify what real customers care about most. Together, these tools create a prioritized roadmap for what to build and what to stop testing.
The company is deeply AI-native and uses tools such as Claude Code, its own Cloud MCP, and AI image and video generation to move from idea to finished creative quickly.
What you will do
- Use the company’s research and tracking tools to identify the next strongest concept and turn large amounts of data into a clear, prioritized production list.
- Create new ad ideas that fill creative gaps and build on proven winners instead of starting from scratch each time.
- Independently produce static ads and b-roll using AI image and video tools.
- Write direct-response copy, including hooks, headlines, and scripts.
- Work with AI tools every day to move quickly from concept to finished asset.
- Review creative work from the design team and provide quality feedback before launch.
- Manage delivery timing in Asana and keep the brief-to-final-asset process on schedule, including Monday briefs and Friday deliveries.
What the company is looking for
- Hands-on ability to create static ads and b-roll with AI tools, not just develop concepts.
- Strong comfort using AI platforms, especially Claude Code, as part of a real production workflow.
- Excellent copywriting ability and a clear point of view on what drives ad performance.
- Skill in translating data into creative direction and deciding what should be made next.
- A sharp eye for quality, detail, and polish.
- Practical experience making or overseeing performance ads, including UGC, static, and video formats for direct response.
Nice to have
- Two to three years of experience at an agency or on an in-house growth or performance marketing team.
- Strong familiarity with Meta as a performance channel, including creative fatigue and persona testing.
- Experience working with fashion, beauty, wellness, or food and beverage brands.

Compensation

The one-ad test
Choose a real ad from a DTC brand you genuinely like. Wellness, supplements, food and beverage, or personal care are especially relevant, though any consumer brand is acceptable. Include the ad itself as a screenshot or link, plus a short write-up covering the following:
- What the ad is testing, including the persona, angle, and emotion it is targeting.
- What you would test next if the ad were already a top performer, and why.
- A new static ad or a piece of video b-roll created from your hypothesis.
Additional notes
This role is remote or hybrid and is intended to start part-time or on a contract basis. The team values fast execution, strong creative judgment, and a willingness to build directly from data. The work style is collaborative, AI-led, and focused on performance outcomes.
