Job description

About the Company

Thrive is an independent, values-led agency with teams across Australia and New Zealand. Its focus is on helping brands grow through relevance, reputation, and relationships, delivering work designed to attract attention and create lasting cultural and commercial impact.

Role Summary

The Creative Content Producer sits at an account manager level and acts as the central force behind the agency’s production capabilities. The role turns bold, earned-first ideas into polished 360° campaigns across PR, content shoots, social content, influencer activity, and experiential experiences.

Working closely with the creative, PR, and social teams, you will oversee production from start to finish so that every deliverable is completed on schedule, within budget, and to a consistently high creative standard. The role calls for a composed, practical problem-solver who can operate in fast-moving settings, coordinate multiple suppliers, and maintain strict quality control across several active projects at once.

Core Production Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production workflows, including pre-production meetings, shoots, and post-production stages such as editing, colour grading, and motion graphics for photography, video, broadcast, VNRs, and live-streamed content.
  • Work with creative leads to convert ideas into workable production plans, defining requirements, shot lists, budgets, and technical feasibility.
  • Assist with talent sourcing, contracting, briefing, and on-set coordination, including transport, call sheets, and hosting, so deliverables fit smoothly into broader campaign timelines.

PR and Earned Media Delivery

  • Partner with PR teams and media contacts to produce rollout materials that support earned coverage, such as B-roll, talent interviews, and press assets.
  • Create quick-turn social content in a newsroom-style environment to respond to cultural moments, product launches, and campaign momentum in real time.

Project, Budget, and Compliance Management

  • Develop and monitor budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and reconciliations while handling client-facing production discussions.
  • Maintain a dependable network of external creators, directors, and event suppliers, including rate negotiation and management of licensing and usage rights.
  • Prepare risk assessments, WHS documentation, insurance certificates, and talent clearances to ensure shoots and events are safe and legally compliant.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of experience in integrated production across social, PR, creative, influencer, or event environments, preferably in an agency or in-house setting. You should be confident working across multiple content formats, from fast-turn social pieces to larger-scale experiential productions. Strong commercial judgement, budget control, vendor negotiation skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.

Benefits and Workplace Perks

Thrive offers a range of culture, flexibility, wellbeing, and development benefits, including weekly social catch-ups with drinks and snacks, quarterly agency-funded events, hybrid working with three in-office collaboration days per week and work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays, and up to four weeks of approved work-from-anywhere time across its four trans-Tasman offices.

Additional benefits include a paid birthday day off each year, 4:00 PM finishes on Summer Fridays from December to February, an extra eight weeks of paid parental leave plus superannuation on top of the government scheme, and a structured return-to-work transition plan. Employees may also join the AI Digital Council, access an external learning and development budget, and take part in internal training such as Thrive Bites, Lunch ‘n Learns, and Thrive Academies. Visa-holder support is also available, including a 2-year-plus option and a pathway consideration toward company-sponsored permanent residency for long-standing team members.
