Job description
Role Overview
The Corporate Training Manager will design and run training programs for several restaurant units, helping ensure every location delivers the same high standard of service, guest experience, leadership, and operational results. This role is based in West Palm Beach, Florida, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer and the executive leadership team.
This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role suited to someone with strong restaurant operations experience who can train, coach, and mentor both salaried managers and hourly staff. The position plays an important part in protecting company culture, strengthening performance, and keeping operations aligned across multiple sites.
Training and Development
- Build, launch, and continuously refine training programs for both managers and frontline team members.
- Prepare and update training tools, operating guides, SOPs, and other learning materials.
- Administer the company’s learning platforms and verify that required training is completed.
- Deliver training in classroom, virtual, and practical on-site formats across different locations.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation for new hires and leadership personnel.
Operational Excellence
- Visit restaurants regularly to conduct audits and evaluate performance.
- Help maintain consistent service delivery, product quality, and hospitality standards.
- Spot operational gaps and put corrective action plans in place.
- Reinforce accountability, company values, and expected performance behaviors across all sites.
- Support the rollout of new systems, menu changes, and operating procedures.
Leadership Development
- Coach General Managers, Assistant Managers, and department leaders to raise performance.
- Support leadership programs centered on accountability, communication, and team effectiveness.
- Work with management teams to improve engagement, retention, and restaurant outcomes.
- Contribute to succession planning and broader talent development efforts.
New Openings and Strategic Projects
- Support new store launches, remodels, rebranding work, and operational transitions.
- Help create and execute training plans for newly opened restaurants.
- Partner with operations leaders on special initiatives and strategic projects.
Financial and Business Performance
- Support restaurants in meeting labor, food cost, inventory, and profit targets.
- Review key metrics and performance data to find opportunities for improvement.
- Offer practical recommendations and follow-up actions that improve results and accountability.
- Assist leadership teams in working toward sales growth and stronger guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings at least 3 to 5 years of experience in multi-unit restaurant management, training, or operations, with a preference for a background in full-service dining. Prior experience creating and delivering hospitality training programs is important for success in this role.
Skills and Competencies
Success in this role requires strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills, along with the ability to lead and influence people at different levels of the organization. The right candidate should understand both front-of-house and back-of-house restaurant operations, stay highly organized, manage multiple projects and deadlines well, and adapt training approaches to different learning styles and work settings. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and restaurant technology is needed. Experience with Toast, Restaurant 365, KickFin, and Paychex Flex is preferred.
Physical and Schedule Requirements
This job requires long periods of standing and walking, the ability to carry up to 40 pounds, and frequent travel between restaurant locations. A flexible schedule is necessary, including nights, weekends, and holidays when business needs require it.
Work Environment
The role is based in a busy restaurant setting with regular interaction with guests, employees, and leadership. It combines office work and field work and may involve travel to support multiple locations, training efforts, and restaurant openings.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, generous paid time off, a 401(k) program, dining discounts, and professional development opportunities.
