Role Overview
An Am Law 100 law firm is hiring a Corporate Event Planner for a temporary assignment expected to last about six months. The role supports a mix of client-facing and internal programs and requires occasional on-site presence for events in New York, NY.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Designing and delivering events for clients and internal audiences in virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats.
- Handling venue selection, vendor coordination, catering, registration, and attendee communication.
- Working closely with attorneys and business development teams to create effective programs.
- Tracking event budgets, schedules, reporting, and follow-up assessments after each event.
- Assisting with conferences, sponsorship activities, networking functions, and educational sessions.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience planning events in a law firm, professional services setting, or other corporate environment.
- A bachelor’s degree, or comparable professional experience in place of a degree.
- Strong planning, coordination, and project management abilities.
- Hands-on experience using event platforms such as Cvent or similar software.
- Proven ability to manage vendors, stakeholders, budgets, and logistical details.
- A client-oriented approach with strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

Compensation and Location
The pay range for this temporary assignment is $52 to $58 per hour, depending on experience. The position is based in New York, NY and follows a hybrid arrangement, with most work done remotely and on-site attendance required for events.
