Job description

Overview

Apple’s Platoon division supports independent artists and emerging talent around the world with creative and operational services that span distribution, publishing, marketing, and data insights. The goal is to give artists the structure they need to develop long-term careers on their own terms.

Role summary

Apple is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused coordinator to support copyright, client, and project management work across its music publishing activity. This position plays an important part in keeping catalogue information accurate, supporting client relationships, and ensuring day-to-day processes stay on track.

What you will do

  • Handle the full onboarding process for clients and copyright records.
  • Carry out copyright research and maintain precise metadata across the catalogue.
  • Coordinate projects and support communication between teams across Apple.
  • Spot issues early and work with cross-functional partners to resolve them quickly.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with songwriters through clear communication.
  • Manage the workflow for agreement and amendment signatures in collaboration with legal teams, and look for opportunities to grow Apple’s music publishing repertoire.
  • Act as the initial contact point for incoming queries across multiple projects.
  • Prepare, update, and distribute playlists that support publishing operations.
  • Carry out user acceptance testing for new and updated systems.

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience in music publishing, particularly in copyright and client management, including end-to-end work registration.
  • Good knowledge of music rights language, royalty and data movement, and the function of collection societies.
  • Understanding of the broadcast and production environment and how music is used within it.
  • Strong knowledge of music cue sheets.
  • Well-developed administrative and organisational ability, with a careful and methodical approach to accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent self-checking habits to produce error-free work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with data using internal systems and Excel.

Preferred experience

  • Direct experience working with songwriters and understanding their expectations.
  • Familiarity with agreement and amendment processes in publishing or rights management.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing in rights or data management systems.
  • Comfort learning new tools and adjusting to changing processes in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience building relationships across cross-functional teams in a large organisation.
