Job description
Role Overview
Located in Culver City, this role supports the US Distribution Marketing team across Sony Pictures’ content portfolio on second-run channels such as SVOD, AVOD, FAST, digital, and cable, along with first-run international titles. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, US Distribution, the coordinator helps keep daily operations running smoothly through administrative ownership, approval tracking, and support for marketing execution.
The right person will be highly organized, eager to learn, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-moving entertainment marketing environment.
Core Duties
- Oversee a large volume of client asset approvals, making sure marketing materials are routed, tracked, and delivered on time.
- Partner with internal creative teams and outside collaborators to gather, circulate, and secure approval for assets.
- Respond to daily requests for assets and materials from internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain strong quality control, accuracy, and quick turnaround across all deliverables.
- Handle key administrative workflows, including invoice processing, purchase orders, and executive T&E report submissions.
- Monitor budgets and keep organized records of marketing spend and vendor payments.
- Help coordinate team operations such as meeting schedules, agendas, and event-related support.
- Assist the Distribution Marketing team on show campaigns and related projects.
- Independently manage assigned projects from senior team members.
- Support the creation and execution of marketing assets, including one-sheets, decks, e-blasts, and sizzles.
- Help with promo tracking, coordination, and marketplace/competitive monitoring.
- Facilitate communication across Creative, Publicity, Legal, Sales, Research, and International teams.
- Assist with client mailings and sourcing gifts.
- Support B2B initiatives tied to major industry events such as NATPE and L.A. Screenings.
- Contribute to relationship management with clients, including SVOD/AVOD platforms and cable networks.
- Work with outside vendors, including creative and promotional agencies, when needed.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in the entertainment industry is preferred.
- A BA in Marketing or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong enthusiasm for television, entertainment, and media.
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- A proactive, reliable, and solution-focused approach.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Photoshop knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Comfort managing administrative and operational responsibilities independently.
- Ability to excel in a support-oriented role while looking for ways to add broader value.
- Positive, collaborative, and team-first mindset.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base pay range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually. The role may also be eligible for incentives and/or a comprehensive benefits package. Final pay will depend on factors such as the applicant’s qualifications, relevant experience, education level, certifications or licenses, and, where relevant, the position location.
