Role Overview
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will help build and spread a company-wide culture of continuous improvement by defining, documenting, and maintaining process standards. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to uncover improvement opportunities, share proven practices, and assist with training on Lean and Continuous Improvement methods such as Standard Work and Kaizen.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with departments across the business to improve operational processes.
- Write and update Standard Work Instructions.
- Track revisions to process standards and communicate changes to the teams affected.
- Develop process maps and value stream maps.
- Maintain process documentation templates, standard work files, and the process documentation repository.
- Prepare Kaizen event materials, including A3 worksheets and planning checklists.
- Collect and organize operational and financial data to define process metrics.
- Support the facilitation and execution of Kaizen events aimed at process improvement.
- Help build rollout plans and timelines for newly designed processes.
- Follow up with stakeholders before and after Kaizen events to keep process alignment on track.
- Contribute to quarterly continuous improvement goals and Lean event planning.
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects that enhance operations.
- Assist in presenting major initiatives and project updates to operations leadership.
- Support internal audits to confirm process compliance.
- Coach cross-functional teams on Lean principles.
- Take on additional duties as needed.

Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Operations, Quality, or Continuous Improvement. Experience in construction or the equipment rental sector is preferred.
Work Environment and Travel
This role is mainly performed in an office setting or remotely. The position requires limited travel, estimated at 20% to 30%, and may include visits to outdoor worksites when needed.
Compensation and Benefits
The role is a full-time exempt salaried position with pay in the range of $65,000 to $80,000 per year.
