Job Purpose

The Continuous Improvement Lean Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing Lean Production Systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational standards within manufacturing, logistics, retail, or distribution settings. This leadership position focuses on applying Lean manufacturing techniques, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with corporate operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and advancement of Lean methodologies organization-wide, coordinating closely with management to promote continuous improvement.
  • Set and monitor improvement targets while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational enhancements.
  • Support the execution of regional and corporate operational excellence strategies, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Manage and report key performance indicators related to quality, productivity, costs, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to align business objectives and ensure effective operational plan execution.
  • Provide training and coaching in Lean principles to associates, supporting team skill development.
  • Lead or assist in projects concerning inventory strategies, compliance, and operational rollouts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or an equivalent field is required.
  • Five to seven years of experience in developing and implementing production or process methods, with at least three to five years in manufacturing or the automotive industry.
  • Proven proficiency in facilitating workshops, leading teams, driving change initiatives, and achieving results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lean principles, especially the Toyota Production System.
  • Demonstrated success in applying Lean manufacturing techniques and redesigning processes effectively.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Green Belt, or Lean Master are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Total Quality Management and Change Management is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities alongside competent delegation and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all organizational levels.

Salary

The salary range for this position is between $92,118.50 and $119,522.14 annually.
