Job description

Role overview

Mint Studios is hiring a remote, full-time Content Strategist to steer content strategy across several client accounts. The role is client-facing and centered on helping businesses win customers through content, with a strong focus on strategy, writing quality, and thoughtful execution.

The position is based remotely, with a preference for candidates working in CST or EST so they can coordinate smoothly with UK and EU calls. The ideal start date is 1 July, though there is flexibility.

Mint Studios is a content marketing agency that works with fintech and other financial services brands, including companies such as Primer, Yapily, SAP Fioneer, and WorldFirst. Their approach is built around a four-part framework: aligning content with commercial outcomes, focusing on bottom-of-funnel strategy informed by customer research, creating interview-led content tailored to the reader's level, and measuring business results through reporting.

While prior fintech or financial services experience is helpful, it is not required. The team places more value on strong writing, strategic thinking, curiosity, and a willingness to learn the industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop monthly content ideas that support client objectives and help content perform in AI search and LLM environments, then review traffic, acquisition, and ranking results through Looker dashboards.
  • Lead the content production workflow by interviewing experts, preparing discussion guides, organizing Trello processes, and coordinating writers through drafts into final Clearscope-optimized pieces.
  • Edit, refine, and publish articles, manage client revisions, and upload finished work into the client's CMS.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients by running weekly or fortnightly calls, sending Friday updates, answering questions, and pushing back on requests outside scope.
  • Write content for clients and occasionally for Mint Studios as part of the role, with ongoing encouragement to strengthen your writing craft.
  • Participate in strategy discussions, contribute ideas for improving processes, and join monthly one-on-ones to support professional growth.

What the team is looking for

  • Clear, structured thinking and the ability to explain ideas logically in writing.
  • Strong curiosity and a habit of researching thoroughly before forming conclusions.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering excellent work.
  • A mindset that considers the broader business and strategic context behind the content.
  • Ownership of your own development as a writer and openness to new workflows and methods.
  • Empathy for both readers and clients, with a willingness to ask questions when needed.
  • Enjoyment of collaborative work with intelligent, supportive teammates.

Good fit / not a good fit

  • This role may suit you if you enjoy simplifying complex topics, learning new approaches, doing research deeply, and welcoming feedback.
  • It may be a poor match if you prefer sticking rigidly to your own process, dislike research, avoid asking questions, or are not interested in improving your writing and strategy skills.

What you'll gain

  • The opportunity to learn how content can directly support online business growth and customer acquisition.
  • Autonomy after the initial training period, with room to test ideas, improve processes, and experiment with marketing tactics.
  • Exposure to AI-driven workflows and experimentation around visibility in LLMs, content operations, and when AI should or should not be used.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $80,000 per year.

  • 32 days of holiday, including public holidays.
  • Freedom to work from wherever you choose.
  • A $400 monthly stipend for coworking space.
  • An annual team off-site in a pleasant location; past destinations have included Barcelona, Milan, Faro, and Alicante.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • A company laptop.
  • Training in the company's methodology during the first few months, followed by more independence once the process is mastered.
  • Detailed, practical feedback aimed at improving work rather than vague comments.

Interview process

  • Application followed by an introductory screening call for shortlisted candidates.
  • A paid writing test of 500 to 1,000 words, compensated at $200.
  • A paid strategy project involving a hypothetical client, also compensated at $200.
  • A final interview, preferably in person in the US if feasible, with travel reimbursed.
  • Job offer and onboarding for selected candidates.

Onboarding and growth

New hires receive a 30/60/90-day plan to help them understand the business and settle into the role. The first 60 days focus mainly on writing articles and content so the team can train you on its methodology. After that, you begin working more directly on strategy with clients, first by shadowing an existing strategist and later by managing accounts independently. Monthly one-on-ones are part of the ongoing development process.

About Mint Studios

Mint Studios is a content marketing agency focused on helping financial companies win customers and build authority through content. The agency specializes in bottom-of-funnel content that is designed to sell by understanding the ideal customer and aligning the content with purchase intent.

The client base includes a wide range of financial businesses, from crypto companies and budgeting apps to enterprise payments firms and consultancies, so the work stays varied rather than repetitive.

Additional application information

The application includes a password check: The Hobbit.

The role is expected to suit someone with 3 to 5 years of marketing experience. The ideal candidate is willing to learn the financial services space, even without prior industry experience.

Final interview attendance in the US may be required if possible, and travel will be reimbursed.
