Role overview

Rockit Ranch Productions is looking for a Content Strategist to lead planning, development, and coordination of content across multiple channels. This role blends strategy, creative direction, personal brand building, and performance analysis to support business goals, audience growth, and stronger brand visibility.

Content strategy and planning

  • Build and manage a detailed content calendar.
  • Plan publishing timelines and make sure content goes out on the right platforms.
  • Spot content opportunities that align with business priorities, brand reach, and audience expansion.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly themes, campaign ideas, and narrative pillars.
  • Keep track of industry shifts, social trends, and new content formats.

Founder and personal brand development

  • Create content strategies that position the CEO/founder as a respected voice in entrepreneurship, hospitality, filmmaking, and community leadership.
  • Surface founder-led content opportunities such as behind-the-scenes coverage, leadership perspectives, travel, media coverage, speaking engagements, and lifestyle moments.
  • Contribute ideas that support the founder’s businesses and creative ventures.

Content production and creative direction

  • Prepare clear shot lists and creative briefs for the videographer/editor.
  • Shape ideas for reels, YouTube videos, short-form clips, interviews, podcasts, and social media campaigns.
  • Work closely with creative, marketing, PR, and operations teams to uncover content opportunities.
  • Make sure content is captured ahead of time during events, openings, travel, media appearances, and everyday operations.

Performance and analytics

  • Measure content performance and audience growth across all channels.
  • Review what is performing well, what is falling short, and update the strategy accordingly.
  • Deliver monthly reports with practical recommendations.
  • Set and track content goals tied to KPIs such as growth, engagement, reach, and views.

Content organization

  • Keep content assets and production workflows well organized.
  • Track each asset from idea stage through filming, editing, approval, and publishing.
  • Reuse and adapt content efficiently across platforms.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in content strategy, social media strategy, digital marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and newer platforms.
  • Excellent storytelling ability and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Background in personal branding, founder branding, or executive thought leadership is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, lifestyle, entertainment, or media is an added advantage.
  • Well-developed project management and organizational abilities.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
