About the Domestic Strategy TeamAt Warner Music Australia, the Domestic Strategy team is central to the growth and career longevity of our local artists. We are a dedicated group of specialists at the intersection of A&R, creative, and commercial, focused on bringing artists' visions to life. This role is crucial in positioning artists for breakthrough success by leveraging content for discovery and engagement. You will collaborate closely with our discovery, creative, and PR teams to ensure our artists are prominent voices in the digital space.
Your Role as Content and Digital StrategistAs the Content and Digital Strategist, you will be the architect of our artists' online presence, driving their digital narrative and breakthrough moments. You will spearhead the creation of tailored Artist-Generated Content (AGC) plans and manage agile digital marketing campaigns to convert listeners into devoted fans. This hands-on position requires a deep understanding of local culture to interpret trends and craft unique strategies for each artist brand, aiming for maximum engagement. You will act as the crucial link between creative insights and data-driven outcomes, from conceptualizing viral content to analyzing ROI and adjusting strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement comprehensive content strategies, ensuring AGC aligns with each domestic artist's unique creative identity.
- Develop and execute agile digital marketing campaigns to enhance exposure and achieve ambitious growth targets for our key artists.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with artists and managers, integrating into their creative processes to champion effective strategies.
- Lead the AGC creation process, from conceptualizing original ideas to collaborating with videographers and editors for execution.
- Analyze campaign performance and ROI, reporting on successful strategies and emerging cultural opportunities to the broader business.
- Collaborate with the internal Discovery team to support fan-centric UGC plans and optimize artist channel engagement.
- Partner with the Creative Producer to incorporate social-first content elements into traditional music video shoots and photo sessions.
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in music marketing, creative project management, or digital/social campaign management.
- Demonstrate a profound understanding of current social media trends, short-form video, and the Australian music scene.
- Exhibit strong strategic and creative thinking abilities, with a proven capacity for building positive relationships within diverse, fast-paced teams.
- Enjoy content conceptualization and editing, with a keen eye for content that resonates on social media and DSP platforms.
- Have a genuine passion for music and a strong drive to help local artists achieve international recognition.
- Existing relationships with Australian artists and their management teams.
- An innovative mindset and a keen interest in how emerging technologies influence fan discovery.
