About the role

This full-time position is for an experienced Operations Manager within the construction sector based in Cork. The role is centered on running day-to-day operations, with responsibility for overseeing multiple crews each day on window and door installation work across a wide range of projects. It is a practical, hands-on leadership role that calls for strong organisation, sound judgment, and the ability to keep several priorities moving in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide and support a team of employees while maintaining high standards of performance and a constructive workplace culture.
  • Organise, coordinate, and timetable work so projects are delivered efficiently and within required timelines.
  • Keep track of stock and materials, making sure supplies are available when needed.
  • Deal directly with customers, answer questions, resolve concerns, and build lasting relationships.
  • Spot operational issues and put practical solutions in place.
  • Make sure all work meets company standards as well as health and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an operations or management position; experience in the industry is an advantage.
  • Strong planning and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and encourage staff.
  • A solution-focused approach with careful attention to detail.
  • Comfort working under pressure while handling several tasks at once.
  • Understanding of windows and doors, along with installation experience and/or substantial carpentry/joinery background.
