About the Role

Meta is looking for a senior communications professional to lead the company’s public relations strategy in Vietnam. The position plays a key part in shaping Meta’s public image, safeguarding its reputation, and supporting business outcomes in one of Southeast Asia’s most strategically significant markets. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, a data-oriented mindset, deep familiarity with the Vietnamese media and digital environment, and experience guiding senior leaders through complex regulatory and reputational situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full communications plan for Vietnam, ensuring it aligns with broader regional and global priorities.
  • Advise country and regional leadership on reputation, risk, and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with Policy, Legal, Marketing, Product, and Business teams to keep communications efforts aligned.
  • Respond quickly to crises, regulatory matters, and reputation-related issues by coordinating across teams and shaping the right response.
  • Collaborate with Policy, Legal, and Policy Communications teams on messaging that supports regulatory objectives.
  • Create and update crisis response playbooks, scenario planning documents, and spokesperson preparation materials for the country.
  • Develop forward-looking storytelling around Meta’s business contributions, trust and safety investments, and creator ecosystem in Vietnam.
  • Plan social-led communications programs that use Meta’s own social platforms as primary channels for telling the story.
  • Design creator partnership initiatives that activate Vietnamese creators, opinion leaders, and community voices to strengthen Meta’s message.
  • Use measurement and analytics to guide communications decisions, improve campaigns, and show business impact to leadership.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and workflows to increase efficiency in communications, content development, media tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with top national media outlets, digital publishers, creators, and influential voices in Vietnam.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience managing PR agencies and working with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Well-developed relationships with Vietnamese media and strong media relations capability.
  • Experience partnering with creators and influencers on local communications campaigns.
  • Background in social media strategy, with owned channels used as a core communications lever.
  • Proven experience advising senior leaders on reputational risk and strategic communication choices.
  • At least 10 years of experience in communications.
  • Experience creating and executing communications strategies that produce measurable business results.
  • Fluent written and spoken Vietnamese and English.
  • Comfort using data, measurement frameworks, and metrics to shape and improve communications work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active interest in developing AI skills, including prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration, and staying up to date with new AI tools.
  • Experience in the technology sector or at a global platform company.
  • Experience handling communications in policy-driven or regulatory situations.
  • Ability to use AI tools to redesign workflows and improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Experience advising or supporting country leadership on public messaging and positioning.
  • Knowledge of Meta’s products and the Vietnamese or Southeast Asian digital ecosystem.
  • Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk review, bias mitigation, and accuracy checks.
  • Comfort working in regional or matrixed organizational structures.
