Job description
Role overview
This role is responsible for shaping and sharing the company’s story with both internal teams and external stakeholders across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the wider META region. It reports to the Senior Director of Communications for Latin America and EMEA.
The Communications Manager will design and execute an enterprise-aligned integrated communications program for the KSA&B region and broader META footprint. The aim is to strengthen awareness, deepen understanding, and encourage action among employees, media, and other key audiences.
This is a hands-on individual contributor position for an experienced communications professional with ideally 10 to 12 years of in-house experience in a large, matrixed B2B organization. The role calls for excellent written English, comfort working in a fast-changing environment, and the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Strong B2B media relations expertise is essential, along with the ability to turn complex technologies and issues into clear, compelling stories. A solid understanding of the political, economic, cultural, and regional nuances of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the wider Middle East and North Africa region is important, as is the ability to connect industry developments to broader trends and use media relationships to support the company’s growth narrative.
The role also requires strong internal communications capability, including experience with tools such as Poppulo and VivaEngage to reach distributed employee populations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing tactical delivery with strategic planning and will have experience supporting executive positioning initiatives, including on digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy for the KSA&B region that supports business priorities and the company’s evolution into a pure-play automation leader.
- Design and run regional media programs that align closely with business goals and industry developments, in coordination with the Senior Communications Manager for META.
- Own executive positioning efforts for the regional President to secure high-value media visibility and strengthen employee engagement and brand reputation.
- Maintain productive relationships with key journalists and media outlets, while handling media requests and interview coordination across the wider META region when needed.
- Create fresh and effective communication approaches that keep employees across KSA&B and META informed, engaged, and aligned.
- Support major business initiatives, organizational change, leadership transitions, and transformation programs through audience-focused communication plans.
- Manage budgets, vendor coordination, event support, and project execution as required.
- Partner with business teams, functions, and government relations on crisis communication and issue management.
- Prepare and refine press releases, bylined articles, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents, and briefing materials.
- Promote the use of AI within the communications function.
- Be prepared to travel approximately 10% to 15% of the time.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in change communications and in positioning leaders both internally and externally.
- A strong network of Saudi-based media contacts, with a track record of pitching stories, managing journalist queries, and delivering clear information quickly and accurately.
- Excellent AP-style writing skills and the ability to produce concise messaging that stays aligned with corporate standards; fluent English is required and Arabic is strongly preferred.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to advise on communications and help shape plans that deliver results.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to spot issues early and take action to reduce or avoid impact.
- Self-directed and capable of performing well in a matrix environment where priorities can change rapidly.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and workstreams at the same time.
- Solid knowledge of social media, especially LinkedIn, and advanced capability in using Viva Engage to drive employee engagement.
- Ability to provide communication guidance while working effectively across business units and corporate functions.
- Strong business understanding, consulting ability, and influencing skills, with the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced grasp of business language and processes.
- Must be comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-change environment.
