Job description
Job purpose
This role is responsible for steering the commercial planning, pricing, and financial control activities for telecom and ICT projects. The position focuses on protecting project margins, ensuring adherence to commercial and contractual requirements, and contributing to business growth through sound financial and strategic support.
Key responsibilities
- Create and oversee commercial approaches, pricing structures, and financial assessments for telecommunications and ICT initiatives.
- Support contract discussions and negotiations while identifying, assessing, and managing commercial exposure.
- Develop commercial reports, financial analyses, forecasts, and performance dashboards for leadership use.
- Track project profitability, revenue outcomes, budget alignment, and compliance with governance standards.
- Work closely with sales, finance, legal, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure smooth execution and customer commitments are met.
- Offer commercial advice and business recommendations that help guide strategic decisions and growth plans.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates should hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or another relevant field. Professional credentials such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CFA are considered an advantage. A minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial management, pricing, finance, or contract management within the telecom or ICT sector is required. Experience with large telecom, ICT, government, or enterprise projects is preferred.
Required expertise
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with commercial analysis, financial modelling, contract handling, and business performance reporting. Strong analytical ability, clear communication, and effective stakeholder management are essential.
