Role overview
Tassal Group is looking for commercial divers to join its Central Operations team in Southeast Tasmania. The role supports bath operations across sites from Nubeena to Dover. It offers the chance to spend every shift in the water within a safe working setup, making it suitable for people at different points in their diving career, including newcomers and experienced divers alike. This position is based in the scenic waters of Southern Tasmania and sits within a growing aquaculture business.
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly pay of $39.90
- Daily dive allowance of $104

Key duties
- Inspect nets regularly to check their condition and identify any damage or weak points that need attention.
- Carry out underwater maintenance and repairs on nets, equipment, and other submerged structures.
- Review mooring systems to confirm they remain stable, secure, and able to handle environmental conditions.
- Assist with everyday farm activities such as fish feeding, equipment upkeep, cleaning, documentation, and similar routine work.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Aquaculture Dive, or an ADAS Part 2 SSBA to 30 metres commercial diving qualification, or an equivalent credential.
- Willingness to work in a marine farming environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Coxswains Grade 2 ticket is preferred.
- Must have full working rights in Australia and be able to work 80 hours per fortnight.
