About the Role
Menzies is hiring several dependable and energetic cleaners to support hotel room cleaning operations in a heritage-style building in Canberra, ACT. The role sits within a broader education-sector service environment and suits people who take pride in delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest/customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean shared spaces thoroughly, including offices, amenities, and common-use areas.
- Carry out cleaning for student rooms and handle linen-related tasks.
- Collect, sort, and dispose of waste in line with environmentally responsible practices.
- Complete regular cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain cleanliness in amenities, outdoor spaces, and walkways.
- Follow Menzies’ processes as well as safety and quality requirements.
- Respond to both planned cleaning tasks and ad hoc service requests.
Working Hours
A variety of roster options are available depending on your availability.
Monday to Friday:
- Full-time shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm or 8:00am–4:00pm
- Part-time shift: 10:00am–2:00pm
Weekends:
- Part-time shift: 10:00am–2:00pm

About You
You should be someone who works well with care and consistency, and who enjoys maintaining high standards in a service-focused environment.
- Experience in cleaning is an advantage, though it is not required.
- You need strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing quality work.

- A positive, customer-focused attitude is expected.
