Key responsibilities
- Pack customer orders carefully, quickly, and to the correct specification.
- Pick, verify, and prepare online web orders so every item is correct before it leaves the site.
- Pack a range of coffee items, including bags, boxes, and subscription shipments.
- Cross-check orders against picking lists and any customer-specific instructions.
- Make sure products are labelled properly, sealed securely, and presented to the company’s standards.
- Prepare wholesale and café orders for either collection or delivery.
- Help with the day-to-day running of the production room, including weighing and preparing coffee.
- Use packing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support grinding, portioning, and other coffee preparation tasks when needed.
- Keep production and packing records accurate and up to date.
- Handle coffee products with care so freshness and quality are preserved.
- Inspect products before dispatch to confirm they meet quality expectations.
- Check packaging, labels, date marks, and overall presentation.
- Flag any quality concerns or order mismatches immediately.
- Follow proper stock rotation methods.
- Monitor packaging and production supplies and help keep them organised.
- Assist with stock rotation, finished-goods organisation, stock counts, and inventory checks.
- Keep the production area clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
- Clean and look after production and packing equipment.
- Report equipment faults or issues without delay.
- Work alongside the roastery and operations teams to support daily priorities.
- Contribute ideas that help improve packing flow and process efficiency.
- Be flexible and ready to adjust to changing tasks during the day.

Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important, along with a strong commitment to cleanliness, presentation, and product quality.
Experience in packing, fulfilment, production, warehousing, or food manufacturing would be an advantage. Previous exposure to online order processing or dispatch work is also desirable. Coffee-related experience is helpful, but not required.
